Q: What am I getting & why?

A: When you purchase and install an AVANCE L5, you’ll receive a free X3 LRU, which will come to you as an X3 certificate until the hardware is available. Your deposit of $10,000 will be used toward the X3 antennas and to secure your spot for the launch of the 5G network. The MSRP for the X3 LRU is $50,995, making this an exceptional deal for Gogo customers. 

Q: Do I have to buy the AVANCE L5 or can I just buy the X3 LRU?

A: 5G requires both units to operate properly. Today, the AVANCE L5 is used to access Gogo’s 4G network. It is the brains of the system and provides needed control for 2.4Ghz along with providing access to Gogo’s 5G network.

Q: What is the X3 system MSRP?

A: The X3 system pricing will have an MSRP of $92,985. The X3 LRU is $50,995 and the MB13 antennas are $20,995 each (two antennas will be required). Please note that this is ROM pricing and final pricing will be available at AEA in 2020 (Q1 2020). These prices do not include the purchase of the AVANCE L5 and do not include any installation. Please speak with an authorized Gogo dealer for more information.

Q: What steps do I need to follow?
  1. You or your dealer need to fill out the registration/verification form. 
  2. Your dealer will submit a PO on your behalf for the AVANCE L5 system.
  3. Gogo will send you an invoice for the deposit on the antennas. Deposit must be paid within 30 days of invoice date directly by you.
  4. A certificate will then be sent to you for the free X3 LRU when available.
Q: When will you invoice me?

A: Once you’ve completed the online form, you will be invoiced $10,000 for the deposit on the X3 antennas. It will be a separate invoice and not part of your standard monthly invoice from Gogo. It must be paid within 30 days of invoice date.

Q: How does the certificate work?

A: The certificate entitles you to a free X3 LRU and documents that you’ve paid a deposit for the antennas. It also guarantees your spot when inventory is available. This certificate can be redeemed when you are ready to install Gogo 5G through any Gogo authorized dealer.

Q: Is the certificate transferable if I sell the plane?

A: Yes. If the aircraft owner is selling the aircraft, they may transfer the certificate to a new owner. Alternately, if a certificate holder purchases another plane already equipped with an AVANCE L5, they may use the certificate to upgrade that aircraft.


Q: When will you begin shipping the X3 LRU and antennas?

A: The 5G network is expected to launch in the second half of 2021. You can expect to hear lots more about the technology between now and then including hardware availability.

Q: Is the antenna deposit refundable?

A: Yes, the $10,000 deposit for the X3 antennas is refundable until 9/30/2020.

Q: Do I have to use the same dealer for the X3 installation that I used for the L5 installation?

A: No, once you’ve paid your deposit and the ATG system has been received by Gogo, you’ll receive your X3 certificate. When it comes time to install your X3 system, you may choose any Gogo authorized dealer you’d like to work with.

Q: Is there a deadline for completing the installation of the X3 LRU and antennas?

A: The 5G network is expected to launch during the second half 2021 with hardware inventory available on or before that time. Customers will have until the end of 2022 to install the free Gogo X3 LRU and antennas.

Q: I don’t have an ATG system currently in my aircraft, what promotion/deal do you have for me?

A: The Power of 5G Promotion is a loyalty program for Gogo Biz customers. If you use other Gogo services, please reach out to your regional sales manager to discuss options for equipping your aircraft with 3G, 4G or 5G connectivity.

Q: My ATG system is not currently activated. If I activate it now, am I eligible for this promotion?

A: Yes! Please contact customer support so that we can activate your ATG system. Once your system is activated, you can work with your Gogo dealer on the purchase of an AVANCE L5 and complete the online request form.

Q. Is this open for all ATG systems?

A. Yes. Any ACTIVE customer using an ATG 1000/2000/4000/5000/8000 may take part in this program.

Q. I’m currently installing an AVANCE system, can I retroactively get this credit?

A. No. The promotion is valid from October 22, 2019 through December 31, 2020. You must complete the “program request form and the dealer must verify customer eligibility prior to installation. Equipment shipped between Oct 22, 2019 and December 31, 2020 would qualify as long as it is accompanied by a request form completed during same time period. We will announce a future promotion for loyal Gogo customers who have already installed an AVANCE L5 and would like to connect to the 5G network.

Q: What if I have already installed an AVANCE L5? Am I eligible for the Power 5 promotion and able to receive a free X3 LRU?

A: While the Power of 5 promotions are only available for new AVANCE L5 installations, we will announce a future promotion for loyal Gogo customers who have already installed an AVANCE L5 and would like to connect to the 5G network.

Q: If I place an order before December 31, 2020 but don’t have it installed, will I qualify for the free LRU?

A: Yes, you will qualify for the program if the online form is complete by December 31, 2020 and service is activated on your AVANCE L5 by June 30, 2021.

Q. My ATG system is old, do I still get the full X3 LRU?

A. As long as you have a classic ATG installed with active (current) service today, you qualify for the service credit or install credit for that aircraft.

Q: Can I get the discount on multiple aircraft?

A: Yes. Customers who receive a multi-aircraft discount are eligible for this promotion. Privately owned aircraft that are on a management certificate are eligible as well. Large fleet owners are encouraged to contact their regional sales manager so we can create a program that meets your needs.

Q: What if my account has a past due balance?

A: Your account must be in good standing to qualify for the promotion. If your account has a past due balance on your monthly service account, then the past due balance must be paid in full before you will qualify for the program.

Q: I’m purchasing a new aircraft. Do I qualify for this promotion?

A: The promotion is intended for aircraft with active Gogo ATG Biz service. However, if you are currently a Gogo customer and purchasing a new aircraft, please contact your regional sales manager so we can determine your eligibility for the promotion.
