Raytheon Aircraft Company Selects Aircell Satcom for Hawker 4000

ORLANDO, FL [NBAA Annual Meeting & Convention] – October 17, 2006 – Aircell is proud to announce that Raytheon Aircraft Company has selected the Aircell ST 3100 Satcom system as standard equipment on its new Hawker 4000 super-midsize jet.

The Aircell ST 3100 system is the industry’s best-selling satcom system, and is standard or optional equipment on nearly two dozen OEM aircraft programs worldwide. It operates on the Iridium Satellite System, providing pilots and passengers all-altitude, all-latitude coverage throughout the world. In addition to the Hawker 4000, the ST 3100 system is currently offered on Raytheon Aircraft’s Hawker 850XP & 400XP, as well as the Beechcraft Premier IA, King Air 350 and King Air B200.

“We’re honored to have our products selected for yet another OEM airframe program,” commented Jack Blumenstein, Aircell President & CEO. “We’re pleased to continue our long-standing relationship with Raytheon Aircraft, and proud to be part of an aircraft program as exciting as the new Hawker 4000.” The ST 3100 will be incorporated with the first retail deliveries of the aircraft, and will come with Aircell’s popular cordless handsets.

In other news, shipments will begin soon for Aircell’s all-new, next-generation ST 3100 handsets. Originally announced this spring, the new handset family offers a host of new, user-friendly features not found with previous airborne telecommunication systems.

  • Full color display with intuitive, graphical menus
  • Advanced noise reduction for clear, quiet calling
  • Integrated headset/earbud jacks
  • Internal phone book for number storage and speed-dialing
  • A number of user-customizable settings

The new handsets will be included with all ST 3100 shipments for aftermarket installations, and also as a retrofit for existing installations on a plug-and-play basis. They’re offered in three colors (Midnight Black, Stone Gray and Natural Beige) and four styles (ranging from permanent cradles to modular plugs) to tastefully and efficiently suit any cabin application.
